Harmon F Adams, DDS

Harmon F. Adams, DDSHarmon Adams graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1960 and spent two years in the US Air Force practicing restorative dentistry.

Since opening his private practice on Bainbridge Island in 1962, Harmon has pursued his interest in restorative dentistry through continuing education with the Hampson Ferrier Gold Foil Group of Seattle, The Seattle Inlay Group and a Crown and Bridge Group mentored by the late expert Dr. John Guthrie. He has also studied with Laboratory Ceramists, Kris Kersten, William Gust, and the international expert Mr. M Yamamoto and Occlusion and TMJ expert, Dr. James George of Tacoma.

In 1974, the Chairman of the Department of Restorative Dentistry recruited Harmon for a position at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. For the following 10 years he taught this discipline and directed student clinical activities. During this period, he was awarded the outstanding instructor award and was mentor of the Yakima Valley Crown and Bridge Study Group for dentists.

While at the University he published research on TMJ dysfunction, implant dentistry and numerous restorative techniques. The whole while continuing a private practice on Bainbridge Island.

In the mid-1980's he returned to his major interest, full time restorative dentistry on Bainbridge Island. "My practice will statistically qualify in the top 10% nationwide for quality and quantity."

In conjunction with all of the above I have and will continue to fulfill both with volunteer time and with financial support the obligations that I have for this wonderful community of Bainbridge Island and the surrounding communities.

As a parent of three sons, my wife and I could not have chosen a better environment or a place to establish a home than Bainbridge Island to give these boys a boost into responsible adulthood. I am very proud of them collectively as they are all experts in their chosen fields. However, Todd, the youngest, my dentist, has the most in common with me professionally. He also subscribes to my excellence philosophy. He is an educational pursuant, easy to mentor and yet readily gives his knowledge to others. When the time comes for me to relinquish my request for excellence in restorative dentistry I can't think of a more deserving person than giving this responsibility to Todd H. Adams, D.D.S.
